BREAKING NEWS: Roster Check-In Information

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 8:20 AM

There will be roster check-in at all Georgia AAU Boys’ Basketball District (State) Qualifying Tournaments. Please arrive at least thirty (30) minutes prior to your first scheduled game to check in. You are allotted four (4) non-athletes and fifteen (15) athletes on your official AAU roster.

To check in your athletes you will need the following:

◾Your official AAU roster, which can be procured from aausports.org

◾Birth certificates

◾Proof of grade (current report cards or current progress reports)

◾Current AAU cards

Each non-athlete must check-in by showing the registrar their government issued ID to receive their badge. The registrar will verify that the non-athlete is indeed on your team’s official AAU roster; if they are not on your official AAU roster, they will not be allowed to sit on the bench during your scheduled game(s). Badges must be worn at all times on the bench and to enter the playing facility free of charge.

Game officials (referees, tournament director, sport director, etc.) will enforce the badge rule.

Athlete = Players

Non-Athlete = Coaches, team administrator(s), water boy(s), water girl(s), etc.

Do we need AAU cards, if we have our roster from the AAU website. It contains the player's name, profile and AAU number? Please let us know. We have the birth certificates and academic grade reports in a folder. Do we have to print the cards with the new automated system which has the same information?
